Welcome to Cliff top self-catering cottages and holiday accommodation in Guernsey.
We have five light and spacious holiday cottages situated in the Parish of Torteval where you can enjoy the quietness and charm of our island. We are just five minutes walk away from Guernsey’s beautiful cliff walks and scenery, a haven for ornithologists and walkers or for those that just want to sit and watch the wildlife about them. Or, within a couple of minutes by car you can be on the safe and sandy beaches of Portelet or Rocquaine and enjoy afternoon tea or an ice cream at Portelet’s tea garden, which overlooks the beach.
We have a small grocery shop situated within our local garage which is only five minutes walk away and which is open six days of the week from 0730 to 1800 hrs. The closest supermarket is in St Peters and is open seven days a week from 0800 to 2030 hrs and has everything you could need for your holiday. Also in St Peters is a Dry Cleaners, Bank and Post Office.
In the bordering parish of Forest we have the Mallard Cinema which houses four cinemas regularly showing the latest releases and with a restaurant next door.
The closest restaurant to us is The Imperial Hotel which overlooks Rocquaine Bay and which is open every day, and 5 minutes drive away but we also have not too far away the Longfrie Inn, which has a play area for children and the Pavillion, which is located with the Goldsmiths (www.thepavillion.co.gg).
We have an excellent bus service that passes our gate on a regular basis, which will take you into St Peter Port or along the coast to the north of the Island. For those more energetic of you we can arrange cycle hire.
For the past seven years we have been lucky to have barn owls nesting in the gable of La Petite Grange and Le Faucon producing three babies every year. They have bought a great deal of pleasure to our visitors over the years that have enjoyed sitting out in the garden on a warm evening watching their playful antics.
We have also placed bat boxes and other bird boxes within our garden and these are always fully booked.
