Self catering cottages and holiday accomodation in Guernsey

We have five light and spacious holiday cottages situated in the Parish of Torteval where you can enjoy the quietness and charm of our Island. We are just five minutes walk away from Guernsey’s beautiful cliff walks and scenery, a haven for ornithologists and walkers or for those that just want to sit and watch the wild life about them. Or, within a couple of minutes by car you can be on the safe and sandy beaches of Portelet or Rocquaine Bay.

All of our cottages are designed and equipped for your comfort and contain everything that we ourselves would want to find in self catering accomodation.

They are all centrally heated with their own thermostatically controlled radiators. Each cottage has its own patio area with table and chairs and access to a barbeque if required. All the cottages look out over fields towards the cliffs. All the cottages come complete with bed linen, towels, tea towels and dishcloths, which are changed weekly for those staying longer than a week, but guests are required to supply their own beach towels.

We have two separate utility rooms, which have washing machines and a tumble dryer, and a payphone. Three drying lines are also provided in the garden.

From the sunken patio area of the cottages steps lead up into a large lawned area with plenty of room for our younger visitors to play. There is ample parking on site for those visitors bringing their cars and we have an excellent bus service that passes our gate on a regular basis which will take you into to St Peter Port or along the coast to the north of the Island. For those more energetic of you we can arrange cycle hire.

We have a small grocery shop situated within our local garage which is only five minutes walk away and which is open six days a week. On Sundays the supermarket in St Peters is open from 0900 hrs to 1800hrs.

In the bordering parish of Forest we have the Mallard complex, which
has four cinemas regularly showing the latest releases and a restaurant right next door.

For the past five years we have been lucky to have barn owls nesting in the gable of La Petite Grange producing three babies every year and for 2004 we have built a further two owl boxes in the gable of our two new cottages La Chouette and Le Faucon in the hope that we may tempt another family of owls to move in. They have bought a great deal of pleasure to our visitors over the years who sit out in the garden and watch their playful antics.

All of our holiday cottages are no smoking.
